Restaurant at Indore Road

Conceived as a restaurant and event lawn along the Indore–Ujjain Road, the design gathers a cluster of freestanding pyramidal canopy pavilions around a sequence of reflecting pools and a shaded timber deck. Each canopy is lined in warm timber and lit from within, so the forms read as glowing lanterns against the dusk sky while the colonnade below stitches dining, pool, and lawn together as one continuous outdoor room. Branded "Under the Canopy," the project treats the pitched roof form itself as the architectural idea — repeated, varied in scale, and threaded through with greenery and water to mediate Ujjain's climate while giving the restaurant its identity.
